August 19 - 22, 2010 The Wizard of Wonderland by Joseph Robinette Directed by Sonia Arnold A production by the BLT Youth Troupe Comedy/adventure with family-friendly performance times and ticket prices! Two of literature's most unforgettable young ladies and their companions get mixed together in this delightful two-act play. Because of an unfinished book report by young student Justine, Dorothy magically meets Alice somewhere between Oz and Wonderland, with hilarious results. The audience becomes reacquainted with a cast of familiar characters from the enduring stories of The Wizard of Oz and Alice in Wonderland. The Cowardly Lion, White Rabbit, Tin Man, Mad Hatter, Scarecrow, Dormouse, Red Queen, Witch and others appear in a new light. Caution: Pre-school children may be frightened by some of the characters. This adventuresome romp is filled with laughter and surprises at every turn--and a couple of valuable lessons emerge as well. It’s fun and fanciful fantasy at its finest.
