About the Show
This masterfully-plotted play has so many twists and turns that we're going
to tell you only the bare minimum of the story so you can enjoy the surprises.
On the surface, it's a tale about organized crime and threats of violence.
State's witness Evan Jorris, a tax consultant, is under a government
protection program after testifying against the mob. His wife, Francine, is
with him in hiding. Other characters include Larry Craig, their lawyer, and
Bert Marshak, a federal agent. Thalia Broderick is a medical doctor and
Angie Hoffmeier is a maid at the motel where they are hiding.
This deceptively simple setup, however, is not what it seems. By the end of
the first act, the audience may smugly think that they can second-guess the
play's outcome, but in the second (and final) act, they will ruefully discover
that they not only don't know what's what -- they don't even know who's who!
CAST
Evan Jorris -- Marvin Barg
Bert Marshak -- Nick Funston
Francine Jorris -- Donna Lovejoy
Larry Craig -- Joel Munch
Dr. Thalia Broderick -- Martha Hogenboom
Angie Hoffmeier -- June Stacy
